The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald is an eight-story hotel modeled after 16th-century French chateau overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley from downtown Edmonton.
Opened in 1915, the Victorian-style public areas of the Edmonton Fairmont Hotel include the richly carpeted marble lobby adorned with glass chandeliers, and the Wedgwood Room named for the china-patterned painted dome.
