The fully restored 1920s beach club reopened, after a major renovation, in 1999 as the Casa Del Mar hotel. It sits right on the sand, 2 blocks from the Santa Monica Pier.
The 129 guest rooms at the Santa Monica Casa Del Mar Hotel are elegantly decorated and include large chaises, hand-painted armoires, TVs with DVD-VCR players, CD players, multiple phones, flowing drapes, and wooden Venetian blinds.
Nearly all rooms at the Casa Del Mar have plush marble baths with pedestal sinks, glass-enclosed showers, and deep jetted tubs and peek-a-boo windows that open into sleeping quarters.
The eight-story Hotel Casa Del Mar features exquisite Renaissance-Revival public rooms, a luxurious lobby, oceanfront restaurant and lounge, outdoor pool and terrace garden, a fitness center, sauna and steam room, spa with body and facial treatments, a business center, DVD library, and well-stocked gift shop.
