Since 1874, The Wentworth has welcomed business, political and social leaders from around the world. It was reopened in 2003 as a luxury Marriott Hotel and Spa combining glamorous Victorian decor with modern amenities.
Set on an island and surrounded by several other small islands, the hotel is located south of Portsmouth New Hampshire on Route 1B, just one hour north of Boston.
Most of the 161 guest rooms and suites at the Marriott Wentworth By The Sea have harbor or ocean views. All guest rooms have private bath and either one king bed or two double beds, desk, individual climate control, in-room safe, pay movies, remote control color television with free HBO, sitting area and telephone. Some king bedded rooms have a full-size sofa bed; a few rooms have a shower only in the bath.
On-site are historic gardens, an outdoor pool, tennis courts, two restaurants and ten thousand square feet of meeting and banquet facilities.
